He warded off the challenge from his nearest competitor Sankeerth N, who finished with 38 points. The tournament was played in the stableford format with full handicap.
This was the first qualifier that was organised at HGA. Two other qualifiers will be held at Boulder Hills Golf and Country Club in the city and East Point Golf Club in Visakhapatnam to finalise the three-member NSports Hyderabad team, which returns to pro action after a gap of five years.
