Alert Central Crime Station (CCS) cops nabbed a gang of six vehicle lifters on Sunday and recovered one tractor engine and five trolleys worth Rs 9 lakh stolen from various parts of the district. The accused were identified as Ganesh of Kurnool, Syed Basha, Golla Naresh and Kuruva Venkatesh alias Venkateshwarulu of Nandikotkur, Kuruva Sudhakar and Kuruva Hanumanthu of Gonegandla.

The accused were identified as Ganesh of Kurnool, Syed Basha, Golla Naresh and Kuruva Venkatesh alias Venkateshwarulu of Nandikotkur, Kuruva Sudhakar and Kuruva Hanumanthu of Gonegandla.

One tractor engine, five trolleys were recovered from them

The special team comprising C M Rakesh, S N Rasool of Kurnool, S Lakshmi Narayana of Nandikotkur, Chandrasekhar Reddy of Midthur along with H C Mastan, Sudarshanam, Nagaraj Ravi Sameer and Kishore nabbed the accused on Sunday. After detailed questioning, the six confessed to having stolen one tractor engine and five trolleys.

Based on the information provided, the police recovered the vehicles from them. According to police, cases of vehicle theft were registered against the accused at Nandyal, Gadivemula, Kurnool, Panyam, Nandkotkur and Devanakonda police stations. SP Ake Ravi Krishna and ASP T Chandrasekhar Reddy congratulated the special team and announced cash reward for them. The SP said the accused will be remanded to judicial custody.
