He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu shifted to the temporary capital in Vijayawada in a hurried manner only to avoid the arrest.
The PCC chief pointed out that the TDP government is not making serious efforts to check the illegal construction of irrigation projects on Krishna river by Telangana government though eight districts in Andhra Pradesh will face acute shortage of water in the coming years.

He expressed concern that four districts in Rayalaseema and four districts in coastal Andhra Pradesh would suffer many problems in future due to diversion of water by Telangana government into Telangana.

Raghuveera Reddy addressed the party leaders and cadre after staging a Maha Dharna along with hundreds of party workers at the Alankar centre here on Monday. Hundreds of women participated in the dharna with empty plastic pots in the sweltering heat.

The Congress Party staged the dharna protesting against the inaction of the State government on the illegal construction of projects on Krishna river.

Raghuveera Reddy said the four districts of Rayalaseema and Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and part of West Godavari will be transformed into a desert in future as they would face water crisis due to diversion of Krishna water to Telangana State by KCR government.
