Following instructions from the higher officials, the revenue officials on Tuesday started a survey to issue notices to the families who encroached government land and constructed the houses in Tadepalli.

Officials to launch drive to demolish encroachments in Tadepalli

The residents came from Srikakalum and Prakasam districts and constructed houses 40 years ago. The poor families are worried over the removal plans of the officials. The revenue officials issued notices to remove 150 houses at Pushkar Ghat in Tadepalli Mandal during the last two days.

The encroachers constructed houses 20 years ago and residing in the houses. The revenue officials issued notices to remove houses for developing infrastructure for Krishna Pushkaralu. The encroachers are demanding alternative sites for vacating the houses. Tadepalli Municipal Council also passed a resolution recommending alternative house sites to the encroachers residing at Pushkar Ghat.

But there is no land in Tadepalli to give house sites to the poor. Local MLA A Rama Krishna Reddy is demanding the officials to give alternative sites to the poor for constructing houses.
