Extend loans liberally to tenant farmers: Andhra Pradesh Koulu Rythu Sangham

Andhra Pradesh Koulu Rythu Sangham (APKRS) district secretary K Srinivas demanded that the district administration earmark Rs 3,000 crore under credit plan towards crop loans for tenant farmers in the district. Addressing the tenant farmers meeting here on Monday, he said about 3 lakh tenant farmers are cultivating 70 percent of lands in the district.

Addressing the tenant farmers meeting here on Monday, he said about 3 lakh tenant farmers are cultivating 70 percent of lands in the district.
He said the bankers have to extend loans to support agriculture and allied activities. The APKRS leader demanded that the government clarify its stand on a release of Godavari water to Kharif crops and to an area under the Krishna canal ayacut in the district.
