Many houses at Mantralayam were submerged in rain waters and many families were rendered homeless. Electricity went off in many areas due to gales and rain. Restoration of electricity was not taken up as electric poles fell down. In a rain-related incident, Sumanth (15) sustained grievous injuries when the roof of a house was collapsed at Budwarapeta.
