Visakhapatnam: The City Committee of the CPM opposed the proposed fee hike in private engineering colleges for the year 2016-17 and demanded the government to see that previous fee structure be continued. It may be recalled that the private engineering college managements have submitted reports on Key Performance Indicators to the government seeking fee hike with the list of infrastructure facilities recently.

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao recently announced that a technical committee has been constituted to visit all private engineering colleges to inspect the facilities before they hike the fee and stringent action will be taken against the managements submit false reports.

CPM city secretary B Ganga Rao told reporters here on Thursday that many reports are false as majority of colleges do not have Ph D qualified professors and required labs facility. He also alleged that the reports showing pass percentage, campus interviews and placements are false.
