Rajamahendravaram: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had taken up Nava Nirmana Deeksha and Maha Sankalpam to overcome the problems faced by the State post bifurcation, Rajamahendravaram rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary said here on Thursday.

He administered a pledge to Mayor Pantam Rajani Sesha Sai, Municipal Commissioner V Vijayarama Raju, SP Raja Kumari, corporators and officials of various departments at Pushkar ghat here on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering, he said the Chief Minister had been urging the Centre to sanction more funds for the development of the State. He reminded that the Congress party was routed in State as it had done injustice to people by bifurcating the State unscientifically.

Elaborating on the welfare schemes being implemented by the TDP government, he said that the funds for disbursal of pensions to 40 lakh people have been increased from Rs 700 crore to Rs 6,000 crore. He said that medical services were being provided to 2.5 lakh people through NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme.

Mayor P Rajani Sesha Sai said that the Chief Minister wants to build a world-class capital and called upon the people to become part of development process.
