3 killed as van hits lorry
According to sources, both the van and the lorry were proceeding towards Hyderabad. The deceased were identified as Shiva Krishna (27), Srinivasulu (35) and Adi Narayana (33) of Karimala village of Singanamala mandal in Anantapur district.
Kurnool: Three persons were killed when the van in which they were travelling rammed a lorry on the National Highway at Veldurthi mandal in the district on Friday.
According to sources, both the van and the lorry were proceeding towards Hyderabad. The deceased were identified as Shiva Krishna (27), Srinivasulu (35) and Adi Narayana (33) of Karimala village of Singanamala mandal in Anantapur district.
The bodies were shifted to Dhone government hospital for autopsy. Veldurthi SI P T N Prasad registered a case and took up investigation.
On knowing about the accident, SP Ake Ravi Krishna visited the accident spot and directed the officers to take safety measures to bring down rate of accidents. He also visited the hospital at Dhone, where the bodies were shifted for post mortem.
