Anantapur: Suggesting that he was in no mood to relent even after barrage of criticism following his earlier remarks against Chief Minister, YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy has gone up a notch higher with his vitriolic attack on Sunday. Addressing a large gathering at the busy Saptagiri Circle in Anantapur, he asked whether TDP partymen has disliking for chappals, and hence people should beat Chief Minister with brooms for betraying his poll promises.

  • Says people should beat him with brooms for betraying them
  • Accuses the Chief Minister of possessing black money

“Tell me what treatment the people in Rayalaseema will give to those who betray the people?” he said to a large gathering. He went hammer and tongs at Naidu for engineering defections and “purchasing” his party MLAs by offering Rs 30 crore for joining TDP. Accusing the Chief Minister of possessing black money, he sought to know from where the TDP leadership got Rs 600 crore to “buy” his 20 MLAs.

“If he (Chief Minister) is a man of ethics, he should ask the defectors to resign first and let them contest the elections again. The MLAs do not resign nor does the Speaker disqualify defectors,” he added. Turning his attention to policemen, he advised them to remain neutral in their jobs and to do justice to their profession without siding with political parties.

He warned that Naidu would not remain Chief Minister forever and said that tomorrow even he would occupy the post. Referring to attack on YSRCP workers by TDP activists at Raptadu and at the local government hospital, he asked whom should the people go to when the rulers indulge in political attacks and murders.
