Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has bagged first prize and a shield while the Visakh Refinery of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited HPCL secured second prize that were announced by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee TOLIC for effective implementation of Official Language Hindi in all its correspondence for the year 2015-16 under the Public Sector Undertakings category.

The award and the shield were received by Steel Plant Executive Director (Corporate Services) R P Srivatsava from the Chairperson of Town Official Language Implementation Committee who is also the Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Railway Division, East Coast Railway Chandralekha Mukherjee at a half-yearly meeting here on Wednesday.

Chairman and Managing Director of RINL P Madhusudan congratulated the collective for bringing laurels to the company and stated that it shows the determination of the employees in implementing the official language.

General Manager (HR) T Sunder and Head of the Department of Hindi section Lalan Kumar were also present. It is worth mentioning that the RINL was also the recipient of coveted Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Shield for nine times and Ispat Rajbhasha shield for six times awarded by Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Steel, Government of India respectively.

General Manager (Materials), Visakh Refinery of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited HPCLA S V Ramanan received second best prize for the implementation of Official Language Hindi for 2015-16 from the TOLIC Chairperson Chandralekha Mukherjee.

The Visakh Refinery is implementing Hindi effectively in all its day to day correspondence and also participating in all activities related to the propagation of Official Language. In-charge Deputy General Manager (HR) N Raja Rao Senior Manager PR U S Sarma and Manager, Official Language Wing Dr T Mahadev Rao were among those present on the occasion.

Raja Rao thanked all the department heads, coordinators for their cooperation in implementing Hindi as Official Language.
