AP to handover all blocks to Telangana in July

The State government has formally informed the Telangana government that it would be handing over all blocks except L Block which is the office of the AP Chief Minister under its occupation in the AP secretariat by July-end.
Hyderabad: The State government has formally informed the Telangana government that it would be handing over all blocks except L Block which is the office of the AP Chief Minister under its occupation in the AP secretariat by July-end.
In a letter to Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, the AP government said that barring L Block, office of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the other blocks would be vacated by July end.
At present, North and South H blocks and J Block are in the possession of AP government from where the AP secretariat staff is functioning. While the K block has been divided between two States and the employees of both the State are sharing the premises. However, the officials said that the AP government had sought more time to vacate the L block.
After bifurcation the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had set up a swanky office in L Block to discharge his duties during his stay in Hyderabad.
As per the AP Reorganisation Act, buildings in the State Secretariat in the undivided Andhra Pradesh have been distributed to both States for administrative convenience.
