Collector inspects Handri Neeva works

Anantapur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar inspected the on-going Handri Neeva project works and the aqueduct construction at Kothapalle village in Atmakur mandal here on Thursday.

He said that aqueduct works are crucial in the irrigation project and no stone should be left unturned for sticking to the deadline. He asked officials and contractors to add more machinery if required as the farmers and the government are looking eagerly for its completion as the project is a milestone for Rayalaseema development particularly Anantapur district.
Sasidhar said that the works commencement was delayed due to delay in according approval to the project design. He said that every week he would take time to visit the project and review its progress. Chief engineer Jalandhar and superintendent engineer
