Raptadu Anantapur: Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha reviewed works with officials of the District Water Management Agency DWMA relating to Raptadu Assembly constituency including farm ponds and soak pits here on Thursday.

Addressing a meeting with DWMA personnel including Project Director (PD) A Nagabhushanam, she said that top priority should be given for completion of farm ponds and soak pits in her constituency. She pointed out that out of 2,000 soak pits sanctioned only 650 were completed.

The DWMA PD explained that works had been hampered by rains. He assured her of completion of works by the end of June. She said that in her recent visit to Srikakulam district she found farm ponds and soak pits very nicely constructed. She showed the pictures of the district to officials and asked them to take a clue from them. She also reviewed the NREGS works and progress of farm ponds.
