Collector surrenders DEO AD suspends staff
According to sources, Pavan Kumar has been working as school assistant in Gumparlapadu High School in AS Pet mandal. His first wife had committed suicide and then he married another woman. She too committed suicide due to alleged harassment by the teacher.
Nellore: District Collector surrendered two senior officials and suspended three school assistants for not removing a teacher from service, who was held responsible for deaths of his two wives.
According to sources, Pavan Kumar has been working as school assistant in Gumparlapadu High School in AS Pet mandal. His first wife had committed suicide and then he married another woman. She too committed suicide due to alleged harassment by the teacher.
Collector who ordered for inquiry on the incidents found the teacher guilty and asked the officials to take action against him. He was under suspension and the officials finally decided to terminate him from service.
District Collector M Janaki asked the district education officer (DEO) D Anjaneyulu and assistant director Vijaya to sack the teacher from services but they had not taken any action against him.
Besides, there was pressure from various sources to revoke the suspension to allow him to continue in the service. Vexed with these pressures, she wrote to the government surrendering DEO Anjaneyulu and Assistant Director Vijaya from the district.
She also directed to suspend office staff members Rajendra Prasad Rama Chand V Srinivas and another senior official in
connection.
