Addressing a passing out parade at Andhra Pradesh headquarters of Indian Coast Guard where 20 constables passed out after successful completion of coastal police training here on Friday Yoganand emphasised the need for applying the gained knowledge in the training period in practical life to help strengthen coastal security. 

Visakhapatnam: Commissioner of Police T Yoganand felt that one being in the uniform must carry out the entrusted duty with utmost responsibility commitment and dedication.

Addressing a passing out parade at Andhra Pradesh headquarters of Indian Coast Guard where 20 constables passed out after successful completion of coastal police training here on Friday Yoganand emphasised the need for applying the gained knowledge in the training period in practical life to help strengthen coastal security.

Later he gave away certificates to all the passed out constables and also presented the first prize to constable G Chenchalababu, second prize to V Suresh Kumar and the third to B Mutyala Rao for their excellence in the training.

Training was given in communication navigation seamanship gunnery, engineering, electrical, damage control, fire fighting and Maritime Law by specialist officers and sub-ordinate officers.

Coast Guard subordinate officer S K Singh and SI Port Marine P N Raju are the coordinators for the training and the trainees were also given job training onboard coast guard ships Vigraha Arnavesh and Rani Avantibai.

Coast Guard Commander AP DIG A K Harbola underscored the need for coordination among various agencies involved in implementing coastal security measures.
