​Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Google company has come forward to extend technology to measure speed of vehicles through the mobile phones carried by the vehicle -users. He said that the latest technology would help the officials to curb over-speeding menace and prevent accidents.

He directed the officials to improve road network in the State by using latest technology. He said latest technology should be introduced to take up road survey.

Addressing a review meeting with officials of R&B department at his camp office here on Saturday, Naidu said that officials should ensure smooth roads without potholes. He warned of disciplinary action, if officials fail to maintain quality of roads. He asked the R&B officials to develop an app to take suggestions from people on better road network and maintenance.

The officials said that four lane road would be ready at Kanaka Durga temple before Krishna Pushkaralu and gave details about the progress of the works. They said five road-over- bridges will also be ready. The CM asked the officials to take the help of private institutions to develop greenery along the roads.

Minister for Road Transport Sidda Raghava Rao, special secretary Satish Chandra, Chief Secretary of Transport Sambab, engineer-in- chief Gangadharam, National highways ENC Gopalakrishna and others were present.
