Elite US groups offer membership to Chirala photographer
The United States Photographic Alliance (USPA) and Image Colleague Society (ICS) International in USA recognised Sankham Suresh, a photographer from Chirala as associate and awarded membership of their organisations.
Chirala: The United States Photographic Alliance (USPA) and Image Colleague Society (ICS) International in USA recognised Sankham Suresh, a photographer from Chirala as associate and awarded membership of their organisations.
Sankham Suresh is the son of Sankham Veeraiah, the first and well known photographer in Chirala and surrounding places. Suresh is pictorial photographer for the past 30 years who was trained under Dr Bhagavan Das, former principal secretary and founder of Andhra Pradesh State Academy of Photography, noted artists Bandi Rajan Babu and K Viswendar Reddy. Photographs of fishermen in villages of coastal area and banks of Godavari taken by him won accolades from eminent personalities.
Suresh is the secretary of Chirala Camera Club since 1996 and trained a number of photographers in various training camps.
The panel of photographs sent by Sankham Suresh was reviewed by the USPA and ICS in March. The organisations offered memberships as an appreciation to the talent of Suresh and the awards were handed over through Srinivasa Reddy, president of the Andhra Pradesh Photography Academy on Friday. Suresh received appreciations from various photographers in the State for receiving the memberships from the prestigious photography associations in the world.
