Vijayawada: Young Indians (Yi) Vijayawada Chapter and All India Bicycling Federation (AIBF) entered into a memorandum of understanding here on Saturday to promote bicycling in Amaravati. The MoU was signed by DV Manohar, chairman of AIBF and Tarun Kakani of Yi Vijayawada Chapter in the presence of P Chandan Patnaik, head of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Vijayawada Zone.

As part of the agreement, Yi and AIBF will take up inclusion of the Smart Mobility concept in the design of Capital Amaravati. Smart Mobility promotes the use of e-bikes and bicycles for commuting.
