Vijayawada: All India Dalit Rights Federation (AIDRF), New Delhi national president K Ananda Rao has demanded that reservations should be implemented for SC/STs in the Rajya Sabha and Legislative Councils in the country. Talking to reporters here on Sunday, the AIDRF president said that injustice was meted out to SC/STs in filling the Rajya Sabha seats and other nominated posts in the country.
He said the political parties were neglecting Dalits, BCs and other weaker sections for the nominated posts. He also demanded that 25 per cent reservations should be implemented for the SC/STs in the corporate educational institutions. He said MPs and MLAs have increased their salaries and similarly they should take measures to increase the scholarships and mess charges of the SC, ST, BC and Minority
students.
