BRAU former V-C Rai felicitated
Services of BR Ambedkar University (BRAU) former vice-chancellor H Lajipathi Rai were recalled by various dignitaries at a meeting organised by Intellectuals’ Forum to felicitate Rai here on Sunday.
Srikakulam: Services of BR Ambedkar University (BRAU) former vice-chancellor H Lajipathi Rai were recalled by various dignitaries at a meeting organised by Intellectuals’ Forum to felicitate Rai here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Srikakulam MLA G Laxmidevi lauded services of the former V-C for adopting novel activities like classroom to common man, awareness on prevention of open defecation etc.
Intellectuals’ Forum president and retired district judge P Jagannadha Rao said as second V-C of BRAU, Lajipathi Rai spent all his time for welfare of students and development of university. During his tenure so many new courses started and development works finished, he added.
Former minister GA Suryanarayana lauded the V-C’s services in setting up new syllabus in arts and science course by coordinating with industries’ managements and collecting their requirements. Yoga expert BVA Ramarao Naidu, retired IAS officer R Appa Rao, Lok Satta district president B Polinaidu, BRAU Executive Council member P Jayaram, teaching staff Sandhya Rani, B Addayya also recalled the services of former V-C. Later the V-C was felicitated by members of Intellectuals’ Forum.
