Vijayawada: Pragati IAS Academy director B Srinivasulu has said the talented youth with any degree qualification can attend the Civil Services Examination and can be selected for various Group A and Group B services with their outstanding performance in the national level examination. He said the age limit for general category is 21 to 32, OBC 21 to 35 years and SC/ST 21 to 37 years.

He said demand for the Civil Services examinations is increasing in the country because the successful candidates get top level postings in the country. Srinivasulu addressed an awareness meet on the UPSC examinations at Pragati IAS Academy at Seetarampuram here on Sunday. He said the UPSC examination would be held in three stages. In the first stage, the candidates have to appear for the Preliminary examination (CSAT Civil Services Aptitude Test), Mains in the second stage and Interview in the third and final phase.

He said Stage I prelims CSAT (objective) has paper for 200 marks and qualified candidates have to attend the Mains examinations. Srinivasulu explained the details of the Mains examination pattern, orks for each question paper and other details. Nearly 200 students and parents attended the awareness meet at the academy. Dean of the Pragati IAS Academy Dr Williams and others were present.
