APSRTC pulls all stops to meet deadline
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport department executive director’s office and chambers of other top officials at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) in Vijayawada wore a deserted look on Tuesday as the higher officials left for Hyderabad to motivate the staff working there to move to Vijayawada, where the administrative office constructed with all amenities.
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport department executive director’s office and chambers of other top officials at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) in Vijayawada wore a deserted look on Tuesday as the higher officials left for Hyderabad to motivate the staff working there to move to Vijayawada, where the administrative office constructed with all amenities.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has recently inaugurated the administrative office at the PNBS. The APSRTC has built a wonderful office in the second floor of the arrival block of the PNBS terminal, Vijayawada, as over 600 staff is expected to come to Vijayawada from Hyderabad.

The RTC managing director and vice-chairman N Sambasiva Rao, executive directors and other top officials have camped in Hyderabad and trying to convince the RTC staff to shift to Vijayawada before June 27, the deadline set by the Chief Minister.
The top brass are conducting meetings with the important RTC unions and are explaining the need for shifting to Vijayawada. The APSRTC began preparations for shifting the head office to Vijayawada many months ago.
It is learnt that some RTC unions have sought more time to shift to Vijayawada but the MD is insisting that the all employees must comply with the instruction of the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and shift to Vijayawada at any cost.
