JNTU engg college to start classes from May 27

JNTU –Kakinada Vice-Chancellor VVS Kumar has decided to start classes at JNTU college in Narasaraopet from June 27 (in a private building.)

Amaravati: JNTU –Kakinada Vice-Chancellor VVS Kumar has decided to start classes at JNTU college in Narasaraopet from June 27 (in a private building.) The officials are making necessary arrangements to start the classes. During this year, the college will admit 300 students in the college. Following instructions of VVS Kumar, a team of the university professors on Tuesday inspected various buildings in Narasaraopet town to set up the engineering college.

The team led by JNTU-K Registrar GVR Prasad Raju, Academic and Planning director K Padma Raju, JNTU Narasaraopet Engineering College principal KVSC Murali Krishna visited engineering colleges and private buildings to start engineering college. They will set up engineering college, labs, library, office and hostel for students.They will submit their report to the university Vice-Chancellor who will take a final decision on the premises.

The team examined space and facilities in the buildings also. The university decided to construct own building within a year. The government has already allotted 86.27 acres of land at Kakani in Narasaraopet to construct permanent buildings for the engineering college. They decided to construct the buildings for engineering college at a cost of Rs 20 crore within a year. As soon as buildings are constructed, engineering college will be shifted to own premises.
