All wings must shift by June 27: CM
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that government would shift all the departments to Velagapudi by June 27, and added that he would outline the road map for the same on June 22. He made it clear that there was no exemption to any department.
He visited temporary Secretariat buildings, where construction is underway at Velagapudi, on Wednesday along with Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana, MLA Sravan Kumar, and directed the officials to complete the construction work within the stipulated time.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said: “The State was divided two years ago. We have constructed temporary Secretariat buildings. We will start administration from here for better governance. Employees must come here. If anybody has problems, we will consider them sympathetically.”
He further said: “We have laid a pipeline to supply drinking water to the employees working in the temporary Secretariat and constructed an electrical sub-station. Internal roads will be developed. We will provide necessary facilities to the employees. Secretaries and employees will work from one place in the temporary Secretariat.”
The Chief Minister further informed that the government would conduct a Smart Pulse Survey soon to know the economic status of the people and to improve their standard of living. On plots to farmers in capital region, he said the CRDA would distribute plots to farmers who gave their lands for the construction of State capital from June 20, beginning from Nelapadu village. Later, the exercise would be taken up in other villages.
Earlier, representatives of L&T and Shapoorji Pallonji companies apprised the Chief Minister of ongoing construction works. As for the progress of works concerned, currently work is underway for laying internal roads; work pertaining to electricity has been completed already. The construction companies sought additional workers to complete the work within the stipulated time.
