Speaking at the ‘Badi Pilustondi’ programme in Girls Gurukul School at Venkatapuram, she wanted everyone to ensure success of the programme being implemented by the State government, which was taking up many schemes to educate girls. Kakinada: Kakinada Rural MLA Pilli Anantalakshmi on Friday called upon girl students to educate themselves to pave the way for the uplift of their families.
Speaking at the ‘Badi Pilustondi’ programme in Girls Gurukul School at Venkatapuram, she wanted everyone to ensure success of the programme being implemented by the State government, which was taking up many schemes to educate girls.
These schemes should be utilised by people for their betterment, the MLA stressed. She distributed
bicycles to three SSC top rankers. Pilli Satyanarayana Murthy observed that women got real independence after Telugu Desam Party founder NTR became Chief Minister.
He recalled that women were holding posts of MLA, MPP and ZPTC in Kakinada Rural constituency. Among those present were MPP Sudha Chandu, ZPTC Kakarapalli Satyavati, local MDO and school staff.
