Eluru: Two persons attacked a head constable in front of Three-town police station on Thursday midnight. According to police, two drunkards started nuisance at RTC Bus Complex on Thursday midnight. The Three-town police received a complaint on phone. Head constable Munisetti Govindarao went to Bus Complex. He questioned the two people who were in a drunken stage.
He asked the duo to come to station. In this process, Mudnuri Subbarao of Baptistpet in Eluru city escaped from the place. Govindarao took the other person Neelam Chitttibabu of Dondapadu village to the station. Meanwhile, the escaped person Subbarao came to the police station and started quarrelling with head constable.
In this process, both the accused attacked head constable with a stick. When Govindarao was fell down on the ground, both beaten up him severely and escaped from the place. Hearing the cries of Head Constable, the other constables on duty came out of the station and shifted Govindarao to Eluru Government Hospital around 1 am on Friday. Three-town Sub-Inspector Sagarbabu registered a case.
