Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Student and Youth Federation (APSYF) founder president Navaneetham Sambasiva Rao urged SC/ST Commission Chairman Karem Sivaji to take the initiative to fill up the SC/ST backlog posts in various government departments in the State.

A group of APSYF leaders, led by Sambasiva Rao, met Sivaji here on Saturday and submitted a memorandum to him in this regard. The Telugu Desam Government had failed to initiate concrete measures for the empowerment of SC, ST and BC youth in the State during its two year rule, the APSYF leader said.

Responding to the representation made by the APSYF, Sivaji promised to initiate measures to fill up the SC/ST backlog posts by taking up the matter with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Paruchuri Rajendra Babu, Lanka Govindarajulu, Thammina Ganesh, Y Shankar, U Rajesh and K Ganesh were among the APSYF leaders who met the SC/ST Commission Chairman.
