Girl robbed of gold jewellery
A girl who wore gold jewelry on her birthday to school was intrigued and robbed by an unidentified person on Saturday. The girl attended school in a civil dress on the occasion and the accused,
Vijayawada: A girl who wore gold jewelry on her birthday to school was intrigued and robbed by an unidentified person on Saturday. The girl attended school in a civil dress on the occasion and the accused, in pretext of safeguarding the jewellery, robbed her. The incident occurred when the girl dropped by the school on the Convent Road, Patamata.
According to details, a person who noticed the girl with gold jewelry, approached her in an attempt to steal her ornaments. He then came to know it is her birthday.
He advised the girl not to wear gold jewellery to school and then in the name of safeguarding them, he took them. Later, the girl returned home and explained to her parents what had happened.
Worried parents have filed a complaint with the Patamata police. They mentioned that two rings and a gold chain weighing 16 grams were lost.
