Minister for Welfare of Backward Classes Kollu Ravindra on Monday inaugurated the market fare (Santa) at the marketing yard premises in Machilipatnam. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister Kollu Ravindra said lakhs of families in the State are earning on sheep breeding and poultry etc. 

Vijayawada: In order to provide a common place for buying and sale of sheep, the marketing department has set up market fare (santa) for sheep growers in Machilipatnam. Sheep growers can visit the market every Monday and can do business at the fare.

He said the State government was considering to open market fares in important places in the State to help the sheep growers to buy and sell sheep.

Marketing yard chairman Gopu Satyanarayana said the market fare opens at 4 am on every Monday and appealed to the sheep growers to use the facility. He said sheep breeding is very important activity in the rural areas of Krishna district and such market fares will be
extremely useful for transactions.
