Rowdysheets against rapists: SP

​Kurnool: SP Ake Ravi Krishna warned of stern action against rapists. He appreciated the Taluka police for their efficient efforts in apprehending three persons accused in a gang rape.

Speaking to press persons here on Friday, he said Telugu Balaraju, Telugu Dubba Krishna and Telugu Kumar of E.Thandrapadu were involved in abduction and gang rape of a woman of the same village. After the incident all the three accused fled from the scene and was absconding, the SP said.

The woman, who could not face the humiliation, began staying at her relative’s place and did not inform her husband about the incident. The woman’s husband lodged a missing complaint. A missing case was filed by the Taluka police.

The facts came to limelight after tracing the woman, said Ravi Krishna. Basing on the information given by the women, on the orders of Ravi Krishna, the DSP DV Ramana Murthy and Taluka Circle Inspector with his team laid a trap and apprehended the accused on Friday. The SP warned of rowdy sheet, whoever involved such activity and ordered all the DSPs and CIs to take stringent action against such criminals.
