Efforts and hard work will decide fate of the activity or circumstance but not the muhurats or auspicious time. In the era of medical advancements and technological brilliance, believing in auspicious muhurat is a superstition,” said Progressive Youth leader, D Ravi Kumar. He addressed the gathering at 6th Nasthika Mitra Mandali meeting held here on Sunday.

When marriages are fixed upon a time, they should have excelled in their lives but we see many of the couples who united at a muhurat after match of zodiac signs heading for divorce. Anything which is pursed with interest and dedication will turn out to be successful,” said Ravi Kumar.

He mentioned that these beliefs of auspicious time and compatibility tests are strongly rooted in the country only among people who follow that particular religion.

The world is going ahead as a global village and the lines of community, caste, language, sect and gender are disappearing. At this juncture, people who want to stay behind in the name of superstitions are a matter of backwardness, he added.
