Tirupati: Moved by the pathetic condition of Gnana Sai, an eighth-month-old infant, who is suffering from liver disease, TNSN (Telugu Nadu Sankethika Nipunula Vibhagam) State vice-president Katta Doraswamy Naidu on Sunday gave away a donation of Rs 1.43 lakh to the parents of the child.

Doraswamy handed over the cheque for Rs 1.43 lakh to J Ramanappa and J Saraswathi, the parents of the child, at the Press Club here on Sunday.

The parents thanked Doraswamy for his contribution for the treatment of their child to save her from the dreaded disease.

It may be recalled that following the reports in the media on Ramanappa family’s struggle to find a way for taking up the expensive liver transplantation for the child, the State government came forward to bear the expenses for the treatment which will be provided at Global Hospital in Hyderabad.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who announced the government decision to bear the treatment expenses of the child, had already directed Medical and Health Minister K Srinivas to make the necessary arrangements for the treatment of the child.
