Western Naval Command is Water Polo Champ
The Navy Aquatic and Water Polo Championships for the year 2016-17 was conducted by INS Circars under the aegis of Eastern Naval Command. Visakhapatnam: Western Naval Command became the winners of Water Polo Championship held at the Command Swiming Pool here on Thursday. Eastern Naval Command team were the runners up.

Vice- Admiral Atul Kumar Jain , Chief of Staff, Eastern Naval Command was the chief guest at the closing ceremony held at the Command Swimming Pool. A total of 25 swimming events, including water polo matches, spring board and high board diving events involving over 80 participants were held since Monday.
Govind Vashist, CPO of Western Naval Command and Abhijit V of ENC bagged five medals each and were jointly adjudged as the best swimmers. Vice-Admiral Jain gave away prizes and trophies to the winners and felicitated winners, participants, coaches and team officials.
