Vijay Reddy from Elsevier Research Intelligence group has facilitated an informative and interactive session for the faculty and research scholars of SVU.

The workshop oriented students about the use and need of Scopus database. Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, scientific journals, books and conference proceedings.

Reddy informed the audience about how Scopus can be used to analyse one's own research work through a global perspective, how to find the best journals for one's work and how to enhance the outreach of their publications.

Finding research strengths of universities, publishing in the best peer-reviewed journals and finding experts in one's field were the other topics that were discussed.

This workshop is in line with the vision of the Vice-Chancellor Prof A Damodaram to make SVU as a leader in research in the country. Vijay Reddy had discussions to strengthen the research and development in SVU, according to a press release from SVU here on Saturday.
