On the last day of his two-day visit to the State, the Governor also visited Padmavathi temple in Tiruchanur apart from taking part in the tree plantation programme at Renigunta Airport. 

Tirumala: Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan, visited Lord Venkateswara temple, here on Friday and praised the TTD’s Annaprasadam initiative.

On the last day of his two-day visit to the State, the Governor also visited Padmavathi temple in Tiruchanur apart from taking part in the tree plantation programme at Renigunta Airport.

Narasimhan began his visit to the temple by visiting Bhu Varahaswamy temple on the banks of temple tank (Pushkarini). He followed the age old practice and offered prayers to Varahaswamy and Pushkarini, before proceeding to the temple. He participated in the weekly Abhishekam ceremony of Lord Venkateswara and witnessed the hour-long celestial bathing of the main deity.

After his visit to the temples, the Governor went to Sri Ahobila Mutt on the ring road where he paid his respects to 46th Jeer Sri Sriman Srivan Shatagopa Raganatha Yatindra Mahadesigan Swamy, who is camping in the Mutt on the occasion of his Thiru Nakshatram (birthday).

Narasimhan along with TTD joint executive officer K Srinivasa Raju visited Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex (MTVAC), where he inspected kitchen, store room and the massive dining hall, where free food is served to pilgrims. The JEO briefed him about the operations.

The Governor took a keen interest at the Kshetra Vaibhavam map located at the corridor of the complex portraying the holy places including Srisailam, Tripurantakam, Mahanandi, Ahobilam and Tirumala.

He also visited the buffet hall where Annaprasadam is being served by the Srivari Seva volunteers and appreciated their services. He also interacted with the pilgrims, who expressed their immense happiness over the taste of food.

Later, Narasimhan offered prayers in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi at Tirchanur. He was accorded traditional welcome at the temple main entrance. He wound up his hectic schedule with a tree plantation programme in Renigunta airport premises, before his departure.
