Hyderabad: The Met department on Friday warned of heavy rainfall occurring on July 9 in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East & West Godavari of coastal Andhra Pradesh even as an upper air cyclonic circulation lies

over the north-west Bay of Bengal and its adjoining areas of Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha is tilting southwest wards. Besides, the trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across the coastal districts is persisting.The forecast said light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in coastal AP and Rayalaseema from July 9 to 12. No large change during the subsequent three days is the weather outlook.

During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday rain occurred at isolated places in Rayalaseema and coastal districts. There was one cm rain each in Seetharamapuram, Tadipatri and Kondapuram.Jangamaheswarapuram recorded the day’s highest temperature of 39 degrees Celsius.
