Member Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh and APCLA State president Muppalla Subba Rao took part in the rally which began from Gokavaram bus stand and culminated at Pushkar Ghat and the participants carried 28 roses to indicate injustice done to 28 persons who lost their lives in that stampede. 

Rajamahendravaram: A commemoration rally was taken out in connection with the Pushkara Ghat incident on the same day last year where 28 people died in a stampede on the first day of Godavari Maha Pushkarams.

Member Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh and APCLA State president Muppalla Subba Rao took part in the rally which began from Gokavaram bus stand and culminated at Pushkar Ghat and the participants carried 28 roses to indicate injustice done to 28 persons who lost their lives in that stampede.

Speaking on the occasion, Muppalla Subba Rao said that he is fighting with the government to render justice to the kin of stampede victims. He alleged that the government did not took action on any official till date and appointed Justice Somayajulu Commission on the incident, but the commission period was extended two times because the government has failed to produce evidences.

Rajamahandravaram former MLA and YSRCP leader Routhu Surya Prakasa Rao said that the government has failed to take action against those officials, who were responsible for the incident. He further stated that they will fight until justice was rendered for the victims of stampede.Jakkampudi Vijaya Lakshmi, Sharmila Reddy of YSRCP, Arun of CPM, Nalla Rama Rao of CPI and others participated in the rally.
