Fishing banned in Godavari for 2 months

Kovvuru: Fishing has been banned in the Godavari river in West Godavari district for two months by the Department of Fisheries. Assistant Inspector K Devanandam said on Friday that the decision was taken as it was the time for the fish to breed in the Godavari river. The order would come into effect from July 15 to September 30 this year. He warned that any venture into the river for fishing would be dealt seriously.
