Both the Deputy Speaker and Minster for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao inspected the works of the model temple here on Friday. They discussed with the officials regarding the progress of the work and gave suggestions. 

Vijayawada: Deputy Speaker of Legislative Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad announced on Friday that the works of the model temple of the Tirumala Tirupati Devesthanam, which is under construction at Swaraj Maidan here, would be completed by August 5 and puja would be conducted on August 7.

Both the Deputy Speaker and Minster for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao inspected the works of the model temple here on Friday. They discussed with the officials regarding the progress of the work and gave suggestions.

Another two model temples are under construction in Amaravati and Srikakulam (Guntur district) with a view to facilitate devotees during the Krishna Pushkaralu.

Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao said that about 800 people from Tirumala, who regularly participate in puja there, would serve in the model temple here. Many prominent people from the city are coming forward to offer their services including annadanam, drinking water, medical facilities, etc.

Special arrangements are being made for Krishna Harathi at Pavithra Sangamam and 2.45 tmc ft water has been reserved for Pushkaralu, he added.
