Two agents grilled over Eamcet-2 paper leakage

Kurnool: Days after investigating the Eamcet-2 paper leak, Telangana State Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials on Friday conducted a raid in a lodge near new bus stand in the city and arrested two persons in connection with the case. It may be mentioned here that kingpin in Eamcet paper leak managed to bring out the question paper from a press in Delhi.

The CID officials said that two middlemen were arrested for their role in the leakage case. The two middlemen were grilled by the Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials. It was established that TS Eamcet-2-2016 (medical) question papers (two sets) were leaked before the date and time of exam.

Preliminary investigation also revealed that students appearing for TS Eamcet-2 examination from Telangana and AP were taken to camps set up in at least five cities two to three days prior to the exam and were given practice with the leaked copies of two question papers, comprising 320 questions with correct answers.

On July 9, the Eamcet-2 was held in Telangana State by the JNTU, Hyderabad, and results were announced on July 13. On July 19, reports of leakage came to light.“As the students were given practice with leaked question papers, average students too got better ranks,” officials said.
