Visakhapatnam: Sub-Collector and in-charge Project Officer of ITDA Paderu Siva Sankar Lotheti asked the officials of medical and health
and panchayat departments to initiate steps to contain the spread of diarrhoea in the Agency areas.
Siva Sankar, who paid a visit to the Government Area Hospital at Paderu on Sunday, interacted with the diarrhoea patients-Killo Sanyasi
and Korra Giri Babu-who hail from Muchungiputtu mandal and Vanthadapalli in Paderu mandal.
Another woman G Ratnam was also shifted from Muchungiputtu mandal to Paderu area hospital. The in-charge Project Officer went round
the wards and enquired about the facilities and medicare. Divisional Panchayat Officer was directed over phone to take up chlorination of
drinking water at Aadarimetta and Naringipadu villages in Paderu mandal and also in Muchungiputtu mandal headquarters immediately.
He further stated that the mandal special officers and medical officials would visit villages and educate tribals about health care.
