Ministers inaugurate their chambers in temporary Secretariat

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Narayana said that all the departments would be shifted to the temporary Secretariat by August 10. He informed that the construction of the five blocks in the temporary Secretariat was nearly complete. 

Amaravati: Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao and Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana inaugurated their respective chambers in the temporary Secretariat at Velagapudi on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Narayana said that all the departments would be shifted to the temporary Secretariat by August 10. He informed that the construction of the five blocks in the temporary Secretariat was nearly complete.

The construction was delayed by rains and more number of workers have therefore been pressed into service to finish it, said the Minister. He added that the government was taking all steps to provide the necessary infrastructure and facilities to the employees.

Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said his department will make use of modern technology to improve the performance of the police officials and render better services to the people.

He said that the State government was giving top priority to using modern technology. On a different note, the Minister said that red sanders' smuggling which was rampant during the Congress rule due to political patronage was now being effectively curbed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The Minister said he would be available for at least two to three days a week, at the temporary Secretariat.
