All arrangements have been completed for Independence Day celebrations by the district administration. As many as seven entrances have been arranged at the PTC Stadium and different category passes have been arranged. Special gallery for women has been set up. About 3,000 school children would participate in the cultural performances. 

Anantapur: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would be arriving at Puttaparthi by a special flight on August 14. After arrival, he would take a helicopter to Anantapur and would reach Roads and Buildings guest house to camp for the night. He would be participating in Independence Day celebrations on August 15.

As many as seven entrances have been arranged at the PTC Stadium and different category passes have been arranged. Special gallery for women has been set up. About 3,000 school children would participate in the cultural performances.

More than 2,000 passes for the general public are made available with Revenue Divisional Officer, Municipal Commissioner and Deputy Superintendent of Police. Officials concerned told pass holders to reach the stadium by 7.30 am.

The Chief Minister would hoist the national flag at 9 am. Starting with the Chief Minister's speech, it would be a three hour show at the stadium. There would be 10 contingents of police with five of them being armed and the rest unarmed.

APSP 2nd and 9th Battalions from Mangalagiri, 11th Battalion from Kadapa, 14th Battalion from Anantapur and CISF from Orissa and Scouts and Guides would also participate. There would be six parking places and eight entry points.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishnamurthy along with Ministers Palle Raghunatha Reddy and Paritala Sunitha had unveiled the 2,800 metres national flag and also inaugurated the new R&B guest house in the city.
