Reacting to the proposal, the Chief Minister requested the companies to form into a consortium and send proposals to the government.The team led by the president of the British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, Mariano A Davies informed the Chief Minister that the companies were ready to work with the government in Amaravati development, besides the building of smart cities in the State.

Vijayawada: A number of companies based in Denmark are interested in helping the State government in building smart cities. A delegation from Denmark met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday and expressed their interest to support the government.

Reacting to the proposal, the Chief Minister requested the companies to form into a consortium and send proposals to the government.The team led by the president of the British Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, Mariano A Davies informed the Chief Minister that the companies were ready to work with the government in Amaravati development, besides the building of smart cities in the State.

He also introduced the chief executive officers representing nine companies and representatives of universities from Denmark. Mariano also briefed the Chief Minister about the activities of various companies and their expertise in urban development.

The Chief Minister told them that the government was planning to make Amaravati as center of innovations. “The city would be the centre of global activities in science, technology, infrastructure and innovations,” he told the Denmark delegation.

He wanted the representatives of Denmark to identify the areas where they could partner with the State government.
Government officials J Krishna Kishore, Ajay Jain, Satish Chandra, Sai Prasad and others were present.
