The Minister inaugurated free dialysis centre at the district hospital in Machilipatnam on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the costly dialysis treatment would be available in all the 13 district hospitals free of cost very soon. The government wanted to extend best medical facilities and treatment in all the government hospitals, he said.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate 150-bed Mother and Child Health Care hospital in October, said Minister for Health Dr Kamineni Srivasa Rao. He said Machilipatnam is the district headquarters and it must get medical facilities to cater to the needs of local patients. He pointed out that patients and deliveries were on the rise in the government hospital for the past few years.

Minister said the biometric attendance was implemented for doctors in all the hospitals. The government has decided to provide free medical tests and distribute medicines to the poor, he said.Referring to NTR Vydya Seva, he said the government is continuing supply of equipments to all hospitals under the NTR Vaidya Seva, he added.
Minister for Excise and BC Welfare Kollu Ravindra said due to rise in deliveries and out patients, 24 hours X-ray facility and scanning machines are urgently needed at the government hospital. He stated that two more Primary Health Centres would be inaugurated at Chinnapuram and Tallapalem.
Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadde Anuradha said that private hospitals are collecting Rs 50,000 for deliveries whereas the government hospitals are doing service free of cost and appealed to women to make use of the facilities in the government hospitals.
Machilipatnam Municipal Chairman MV Baba Prasad, Rural Mandal Parishad President (MPP) K Venkateswara Rao, Market Committee Chairman G Satynarayana Rao, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare I Samuel Anand Kumar, Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Commissioner BK Naik and others were present.
