Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday,  Senior Divisional Manager K Murlidar said that the division is No-1 in selling policies and also in the collection of First Premium Income in South Central Zone as on August 15 in the current fiscal 2016-17. 

Visakhapatnam: Life Insurance Corporation of India, Visakha division, spread over north coastal Andhra districts topped the South Central Zone by selling 2.70 lakh policies in 2015-16 and continuing the same growth in 2016-17 also.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Senior Divisional Manager K Murlidar said that the division is No-1 in selling policies and also in the collection of First Premium Income in South Central Zone as on August 15 in the current fiscal 2016-17.

Even at the all India level, the division occupied 13th position in selling 87,274 policies and 14th position by collecting Rs 95.39 crore towards First Premium Income among 113 divisions as on date.

Murlidar claimed that even in the sale of major plans like New Jeevan Anand, New Endowment, Jeevan Rakshak and New Jeevan Akshay, the division has bagged the first position in the zone. He said as many as 1,000 agents were added to the existing force in the current fiscal taking the total strength of agents to 11,350 so far.

The Senior Divisional Manager disclosed that the division will be settling 1.73 lakh Maturity Claims with an amount of Rs 560 crore to the policy holders during 2016-17.

Under the Special Revival Campaign, the division has so far revived 26,860 policies by collecting a premium of Rs 23.75 crore and the Special Revival Campaign will continue up to September 15.

To a question, he said the Customer Connect Programme to collect mobile numbers, NEFT details, Aadhaar number and PIN code of policy holders is in progress to serve the customers better.
