Visakhapatnam: Three lakh persons were enrolled for the newly launched Chandranna Bima scheme as per the Smart Pulse Survey details up to September 26, said Municipal Commissioner M Harinarayanan. He said the Smart Pulse Survey began on July 12 and the government had given time to those who failed to enroll for the Chandranna Bima Scheme during the teams of Smart Pulse Survey (SPS) visited their houses.

The objective of the SPS was to enroll all workers of unorganised sector having a revenue of Rs 15,000 a month and in the age group of 18 to 70 years for the Chandranna Bima Scheme. The Commissioner asked those who had not enrolled in the scheme so far where the survey was over, to contact the enumerator of their area and get registered their names after paying Rs 15 as service charge. He informed that there is no limit for the number of persons in a family for the enrolment in the Bima scheme.

For the people of those particular areas not covered with the Smart Pulse Survey so far, he urged them to cooperate with the survey teams by giving bank account numbers and Aadhaar Card numbers and also get enrolled in the Chandranna Bima Scheme.
