Vijayawada: Telugu Desam leader Devineni Rajasekhar has strongly defended Nara Lokesh, National General Secretary of the Telugu Desam party on his interference in party activities. He said Nara Lokesh has every right to review the party meetings.

He also responded to the criticism made by opposition parties over the interference of Nara Lokesh, particularly questioning of Home Minister and senior politician Chinarajappa by Lokesh.

Taking on YSRCP and Congress party leaders and to stop criticising Nara Lokesh over attending the review meetings of the Telugu Desam party, he suggested the latter to try to strengthen their own respective outfits.

Photographs of Nara Lokesh pointing fingers at China Rajappa became viral on social media in no time which led to criticism from not just the opposition but also from some ruling party leaders. War of words is still continuing in the State between the leaders of TDP and YSRCP.

Stating that Nara Lokesh has to lead the TDP in 2019 Assembly elections, he added that “it would be wrong if he interferes in administrative activities but he attended the party meeting which is not wrong,”.
He recalled YS Jagan’s presence in party meetings conducted by Y S Rajasekhar Reddy as the CM in Kadapa.

He suggested Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to strengthen the party from the grass root level saying that YSRCP has no cadre either in the villages or in the mandals. The TDP leader said that, “YSRCP leaders hold meetings in five star hotels, how would the party leaders know the problems of the people when they don’t mingle with the people.”

He also added that Y S Jagan could not save Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy’s statue in Vijayawada from demolition.

Devineni questioned him by saying, “When you can’t come to Vijayawada and ask the authorities on the removal of YSR Statue, how you can become a leader and lead the people”?

TDP leaders Kadiyala Buchchibabu, Devineni Avinash, Alla Chellarao and others were also present.
