Vijayawada: Congress Party has triggered a controversy over false propaganda on foreign investments by the State government by revealing RTI information about the Partnership summit in Visakhapatnam.

PCC vice-president and former speaker Nadendla Manohar alleged that State government was wasted crores of rupees by conducting partnership summits and signing MoUs with other countries.

Manohar said there was no fact in the propaganda by the State government that ten lakh jobs would be created through the partnership summit conducted in Visakhapatnam 10 months ago.

Speaking at a press conference, here on Monday, Manohar said ten months passed since the MoUs signed with other countries for investment of Rs 4.76 lakh crore in AP, but not even one industry had not been established yet.

On other hand, the State government was giving contradicting statements over the number of delegates, he alleged. The Congress leader said the State government had announced that 2,000 delegates attended the partnership summit while the number was mere 600 as per Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.

Manohar said the government is keeping the details of the summit secret as it failed in attracting investments to the State. He said that the released funds for the summit without issuing any G.O as per the official information, accessed by the Congress party through Right to Information Act. He shared the details with the media.
